Scenes From Our Exciting Week

This week, we read a lot of Little Red Hen stories! We also read non-fiction books, such as Bread Around the World. All of that reading about bread made us hungry for bread! We enjoyed some Bread Co. bagels. What a fun way to start the week!

We learned a new sight word this week, "see." We practiced "the," the sight word from last week, with Wikki Sticks. Then we tried to make the letters in "see." 

 We were so surprised when Zero the Hero came to our classroom! Some of us thought that he looks sort of familiar...but then Mr. Schoenekase was not in the building this morning. He had meetings, or so he said at lunchtime.

 

  

We have learned that writers write about things that happen to them. Several of the children decided to write about Zero the Hero's visit to our classroom!
