Scenes From the First Full Week of Kindergarten

When you're looking at the pictures from the week, if you click on the first one, you can view them as a slideshow. There are some captions that you'll miss, but sometimes it's just more fun to see the pictures BIG! I take a lot of pictures, and post them at the end of each week. So be sure to check the blog to see your children in action!

Working hard on our "Rules" book...

Look at how being a writer looks!

We are writing about something that has happened to us, using words and pictures!

Teamwork during Math Workshop! We're exploring math tubs!

Painting is a terrific way to build fine motor skills!

We chose a number from 1-5, and had to name the number, and then get in numerical order!

After reading lots of books about buses, we made one of our own! The Peeps practiced turning squares into circles to make the wheels, then they added windows and other details!

We read our "Let's Find Out" magazine on the interactive whiteboard. There are fun games to play with each issue. The Peeps will bring these home each week. Look for it on Monday afternoon. This issue was about trying our best at school.

We are using our "Practice Packs" to form numbers correctly. Practice Packs are made from old DVD cases. We keep a sock inside to erase our work when we're finished.
